BSPS Events
In addition to
continuing USPS Education classes, Bellingham Sail and Power squadron
also hosts regular social events and meetings. These events include:
Member
Meetings
On the second
Thursday of most months, we meet at 1800 at the Squalicum Yacht Club building
at Squalicum Harbor for a dinner meeting. This meeting is usually a potluck
dinner followed by a guest speaker.
ExCom meeting
On the first
Thursday of most months, the Bridge (Squadron Officers) hold their monthly
business meeting. The minutes of these meetings are available on the
Members page.
Weekend
Rendezvous
Several times
during cruising season, the Squadron sponsors a weekend rendezvous at one of
our local harbors. The theme and activities differ but they usually include a
group dinner on Saturday evening. Members take turns planning and hosting
these rendezvous and are designated as Cruise Captains.
Change of
Watch
The March Member
Meeting each year is held as a Saturday luncheon. The district officers
attend and swear in the new Bridge for the coming year. These meetings are
normally held at a local restaurant.
